Daily Routine

As an illustrator or designer, routine seems to be one of the most important things that separates the «weak» from the » genuine». I’m not saying you can’t have great productions without routine. There’s also spontaneous human genius, which should not be underestimated. But sometimes it’s like a sport: if you don’t run regularly, you’re exhausted after every run. So doing commissions without a regular sketching routine always feels a lot harder, especially at the beginning. From time to time, quite old motifs find their place in newer works, presented in a new context. Why not, the first idea is not always the best…

So here are a few worksheets and scribbles, representing the first steps on the way to a final result.
